Detailed 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Kitgum
The first day of your 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour is basically traveling. Considering the journey requires about 11 hours; pick up has to be as early as possible.
Your journey will start at 7:00 am after an early breakfast, your journey to Kitgum will start. Kidepo National Park is far placed-north east, bordering Kenya to the east and South Sudan to the north.
The journey can be very exhausting to drive direct to the park this making it necessary to break the journey in twos that is Kampala to Kitgum and then Kitgum to the park. You will have stop overs along the way to stretch or for breakfast or lunch.
Lunch will be in Gulu town and arrive in Kitgum later afternoon and head direct to your room and then later dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 of 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour: Transfer to Kidepo National Park, Game Drive
On the second day of your 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour to Kidepo Valley National Park, wake up to an early breakfast and embark on 3 hours drive to Kidepo National Park where you will embark on a game drive in the Kidepo Valley in the anticipation of seeing herds of buffalos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetahs. You will enjoy a slow drive.
Make sure camera ready to take some picture moments while on the game drive as you can have stops at any point you so want. Break off for the day and head straight to the lodge. You can spend the rest of the day for leisure admiring the wilderness environment. Dinner and overnight follows.

Day 3 of 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour: Game Drive
This is the busiest day of our 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour and so a lot of activities are line up to this day and this include a morning game drive and a cultural walk on this third day of our 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour.
Very early in the morning breakfast will do you good before you hit the road. When breakfast is done, you will set off for another breathtaking and rewarding early morning game drive through the open savannah, rocky outcrops, forests and rings of mountains.
Drive extensively up to Kanangorok Hot springs and brace yourself for photo moments and chances of sighting more of wildlife especially lions sitting on the rocks as they scan the park for a possible prey. Drive back to the lodge to relax and lunch.
In the afternoon, head out for a cultural tour to the Karamojong people for a truly unique experience. The Karamojong culture is still pure and totally unique from most other tribes in Uganda.
They have rejected civilization and still live like the ancient times. The Karamojong are predominantly pastoralists and live purposely on cattle farming. They fight for their cattle as it is in their belief that every cattle in the world belongs to them. As such, fierce cattle raid still occurs in the region and at times stretch to neighboring Kenya.
They are very interesting group of people with very strong and unique culture visible from their way of dressing, cooking, dancing, and other daily life activities. A visit to the Karamojong is truly a rewarding experience you should look forward to later transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4 of 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour: Game Drive and Transfer to Kitgum
Early in the morning after the breakfast, we shall hit the road for another game drive. As they always say every stepping into the game park is a difference experience. No game drive is the same in the parks. Every day of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour presents itself differently and different sightings. You will spot as many wild animals on this game drive.
Return to the lodge to check out and transfer to Kitgum where you will have your lunch and spend the rest of day relaxing. It’s optional that the return from the park you may opt for Gulu and not Kitgum for a short night stay. Later dinner and overnight.

Day 5 of 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour: Return to Kampala
On the fifth day of your 5 Days Uganda Wildlife Holiday Tour no much pressure, we shall have breakfast relatively morning hours and proceed to Kampala with lunch en- route arriving in Kampala late afternoon or evening.
You can decide to head direct to your hotel or transfer to Entebbe national airport for your flight back home.

Kidepo Valley National Park
Kidepo valley national park is one of the magnificent national parks in Uganda. It is located in the remote Karamoja region in Kaabong district between Uganda and South Sudan border. The national park covers a total land area of 1442 square kilometers and it’s comprised of the savannah vegetation, hills and valleys like Kidepo and Narus Valley, mount morungole among others.
According to CNN travel, Kidepo valley national park was named the second most attractive and beautiful park in Africa due to the charming and breathtaking landscape and abundant wildlife. The park is known for its wildlife which includes over 76 mammal species and 480 bird species
The national park is a home of mammals’ species including the big four mammals which include the elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and other animals like zebras, ostrich, orx, hyenas, bat eared fox, aardwolf, caracal, jackal, klipspringer, bohor reed buck, bushbuck, bush duiker, waterbuck, elands, oribi, Uganda kobs, greater and lesser kudu, Jackson’s hartebeest among others.
The national park is home to over 474 bird species which makes it the second destination in Uganda with the highest number of bird’s species after. The bird species in the park include; black breasted barbet, little bee eater, ostrich, red and yellow barbet, kori bustard, Karamoja apalis, pygmy, white bellied go away bird, purple heron, secretary bird, yellow billed shrike among others
Apoka Tourism Centre
The Centre overlooks the Narus valley and it acts as a hub for all activities in the park for example, it has a vehicle for hire for travelers, it’s a station for the park guides and rangers.
There are many lodges around the Centre, has cooking equipment’s for hire to visitors who are camping. It offers scenic views of animals which will be going to drink water at Narus Valley
Mount Morungole
There mountains act as boundary between the park and the IK people which is the smallest ethnic tribe in Karamoja region. The IK people live on top of the mountains and visitors who want to visit will walk on foot with a park ranger
