The 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Luxury Holiday Tour features a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place to find and see the rare rhinos in the wild in Uganda.
The Rhino Fund Uganda is a Non-governmental Organization formed in 1997 in corporation with Uganda Wildlife Authority with the interest of re-introducing the wild rhinos in Uganda after their extinction during the reign of President Idi Amin in 1987. However, both rhinoceros breeds were introduced, black and northern white rhinos for the purpose of environmental and cultural heritage. The sanctuary is located in the Nakasongola district about 176 km drive north of Kampala city on the Gulu highway. The monastery lies on 7,000 hectares of land with savannah and woodland vegetation.
There are about 22 rhinos in the sanctuary and has become increasingly popular for tourists’ visits for rhino trekking, shoebill trekking and canoe riding, Bird watching and nature walks. Murchison Falls on the other has is the largest national park in Uganda where we find the Big 4 games and it is the home for the most powerful falls in Africa. Visiting both places is an experience of a lifetime.

Detailed 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Luxury Holiday Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Ziwa from Kampala
Early in the morning after your breakfast, our guide drive will pick you up. He will brief you about the safari and most especially the activities of the day. After this brief, you will hit the road headed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. It’s a 3- 4 hour drive from Kampala.
Feel free to ask your guide on anything that you spot on the road that needs clarification. On arrival at the sanctuary, head straight to your lodge to check in and have lunch.
Later in the afternoon, connect for a nature walk around the sanctuary to enjoy the diverse and plentiful wildlife that share the sanctuary, explore animals like the Uganda kobs, bushbucks, oribi, common grey duiker, warthogs, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, redbuck to mention but a few. Return for dinner and overnight

Day 2 of 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Luxury Holiday Tour: Rhino Trekking and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will have to wake up early in the morning prepare yourself and have breakfast. You will connect with your guide who will take you to the administration office.
They will hand you a ranger guide to guide you in the trek for the rhinos. You will be able to spot different rhinos, coming close to them.
Spend time in their presence and take as many pictures as possible. After this exciting experience return to the lodge refreshen and check out from your lodge. You will then have lunch and transfer to Murchison falls national park.
This takes 2-3 hours drive entering through Kichwabanyobo gate and proceed to your accommodation to check in. you can enjoy en route evening game drive. Check in and have dinner and rest

Day 3: Morning Game Dive and Boat Cruise
After an early morning breakfast, your guide driver will come for you yet another exciting day of your trip. You will hit the road to have a glance of the animals before the hibernate because of the scotching sun.
The activity takes about 3-5 hours depending on animal’s availability. You are likely to spot, elephants, Rothchild giraffes, buffalos, lions, hartebeests, Uganda kobs, oribis, waterbucks among many more.
You will also have a chance to experience many bird species during this drive. You will then break for lunch and to freshen up as you prepare for a 2pm boat cruise. In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise along the river Nile. This will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls.
Along the cruise you will be able to spot crocodiles, hippos, elephants and buffalos drinking water on the river banks. You will also spot different bird species like kingfisher, cormorants, and bee-eater.
You will spend time viewing the falls at the bottom of the falls as you take several pictures as well. Later you will return to meet your driver and head back to your lodge. You will have time to relax and unwind after a very tiresome yet thrilling and exciting day. Later you will have your dinner and rest

Day 4: Top of the fall and Transfer Back to Kampala
After an early breakfast, check out of your lodge, and drive to the top of the falls for a close view of the Murchison falls and the Uhuru falls, this will take about 2hours before you drive out of the park.
You will have en route lunch depending with time you left the park or the place you will advice to have lunch. You will embark on the drive which takes about 4-5 hours drive to Kampala

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a collaborative effort between the Uganda Wildlife Authority, Rhino Fund Uganda, a Uganda NGO committed to the restoration of the Uganda’s Rhinoceros Population and Ziwa Ranchers Limited, a private land management company.
The sanctuary offers secure place where Rhino populations can be expanded by breeding, protected from human and non-human predators and gradually re-introduced into Uganda’s National Parks, while at the same time, allowing the public to enjoy these majestic animals.
A team of approximately 78 park rangers and security guards keep a 24-hour watch on the rhinos to ensure their safety. The 70 square kilometers (7,000 ha) sanctuary is surrounded by a 2 meters (6.6 ft) electric fence to keep the rhinos in and intruders out.
The sanctuary is home to at least 40 mammals and reptilian species including monkeys, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species. Tourist facilities at the sanctuary include a safari lodge, guest house, budget accommodation is two separate business and both have restaurants that offer meals to tourists. In addition to on foot rhino trekking, tourist activities include birding, canoe rides and nature walks.
Murchison Falls National Park
Also known as the Kabalega National Park, the Murchison falls National Park is popularly known for having the world’s most powerful waterfalls that emits large volumes of water about 300 cubic meters per second or 11,000 ft3/s at a very powerful pressure that cause the surrounding to tremble.
The park was first gazetted in in 1927 and today is the largest park in Uganda covering an area of 3840 sq Km/ 1483 sq miles. It is commonly visited for Uganda Safari Tours because of its diverse Safari activities and rich wildlife.
The park is located in the northern Uganda, northwest of the capital, and extends its boundaries to a number of districts within and beyond the Bunyoro escarpment including Nwoya, Masindi, Kiryandongo and Buyisa. It’s found on the northernmost reaches of the Albertine Rift Valley with its terrain bisected by the Victoria Nile.
The park is a home to more than 73 animal species among which are the “big five” including buffalos, leopards, lions, and Elephants (except rhinos), has three quarters of the world’s population of Rothschild giraffes plus a healthy population of herbivores which has recently doubled including the Uganda Kobs all of which can easily be seen on the Wildlife Safari Tours here.
There are various primates living within its verdant forests like Budongo among are over 610 chimpanzees, in addition to 451 bird species including 23 Albertine Rift Endemics.
