Detailed 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzees Wildlife Holiday Trip
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls
Depending on your location, we shall start off your 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzees Wildlife Holiday Trip in a bang. You will be from your hotel early in the morning after your breakfast by our guide driver.
He will brief you about the whole trip before embarking on the journey to Murchison falls national park. En route visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary a 3 hours’ drive from Kampala for rhino trekking experience. After the activity you will have lunch then connect to Murchison falls national park entering through Kichumbanyobo gate from Masindi side.
Arrive in the parking the evening. You will have a chance to sight animals as you head to your accommodation. This evening game drive animals that can be sighted include; elephants, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, warthogs, monkeys, baboons and many birds species. You will get into your lodge and check inn, have your dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise
After an early morning breakfast, your guide driver will pick you for a game drive at the delta where you may spot various animals species like elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others.
Return to the lodge and have lunch and rest. At 2pm, you go for a launch cruise at the bottom of the Murchison falls along the River Nile, enjoying the streaming views of hippos and serried ranges of crocodiles along the sandbanks, as well as a large number of different species getting down to drink water including elephants and buffalos. There is also quite a good number of bird species if you’re a bird’s lover.
After that boat cruise at bottom of the falls, you will hike up the top of the falls where you will be picked up by your driver to return to your lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 of 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzees Wildlife Holiday Trip: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After your breakfast, you will check out from your lodge transfer to Kibale National Park– the best safari destinations in Africa for Chimpanzee trekking.
You will have lunch in Fort portal en route to the park. Arrive in the park late evening and connect to your lodge to check in. your guide can brief you about tomorrow’s events before you head for your dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Visit
This is yet another tiresome day yet the most memorable day of your life spending a day trekking these African primates. After your breakfast, your guide driver will come for you.
Make sure that you carry packed lunch and enough water. You will head to the office of the park and their register you and hand you a park ranger guide to take you through the trek.
You will enter the rainforest in search of the chimpanzees. On spotting the family allocated, you will spend an hour with the chimpanzees while you take pictures.
After tracking you will break to the lodge to refresh then embark on a 2-3 hours nature walk at Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Return to the lodge and relax, I am sure you will be extremely tired. Later have dinner and rest.

Day 5: Transfer Back To Kampala and Departure
Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Amabere Ga Nya Mwiru caves where you will explore the caves and later travel to tour waterfalls and the crater lakes tour.
Have lunch in fort portal and embark on a 5-6 hours drive back to Kampala and connect to Entebbe international airport for your flight back home if your flight is on that very day

Background Information of 5 Days Uganda Chimpanzees Wildlife Holiday Trip
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a collaborative effort between the Uganda Wildlife Authority, Rhino Fund Uganda, a Uganda NGO committed to the restoration of the Uganda’s Rhinoceros Population and Ziwa Ranchers Limited, a private land management company.
The sanctuary offers secure place where Rhino populations can be expanded by breeding, protected from human and non-human predators and gradually re-introduced into Uganda’s National Parks, while at the same time, allowing the public to enjoy these majestic animals.
A team of approximately 78 park rangers and security guards keep a 24-hour watch on the rhinos to ensure their safety. The 70 square kilometers (7,000 ha) sanctuary is surrounded by a 2 meters (6.6 ft) electric fence to keep the rhinos in and intruders out.
The sanctuary is home to at least 40 mammals and reptilian species including monkeys, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species. Tourist facilities at the sanctuary include a safari lodge, guest house, budget accommodation is two separate business and both have restaurants that offer meals to tourists. In addition to on foot rhino trekking, tourist activities include birding, canoe rides and nature walks.
Murchison Falls National Park
Also known as the Kabalega National Park, the Murchison falls National Park is popularly known for having the world’s most powerful waterfalls that emits large volumes of water about 300 cubic meters per second or 11,000 ft3/s at a very powerful pressure that cause the surrounding to tremble.
The park was first gazetted in in 1927 and today is the largest park in Uganda covering an area of 3840 sq Km/ 1483 sq miles. It is commonly visited for Uganda Safari Tours because of its diverse Safari activities and rich wildlife.
The park is located in the northern Uganda, northwest of the capital, and extends its boundaries to a number of districts within and beyond the Bunyoro escarpment including Nwoya, Masindi, Kiryandongo and Buyisa. It’s found on the northernmost reaches of the Albertine Rift Valley with its terrain bisected by the Victoria Nile.
The park is a home to more than 73 animal species among which are the “big five” including buffalos, leopards, lions, and Elephants (except rhinos), has three quarters of the world’s population of Rothschild giraffes plus a healthy population of herbivores which has recently doubled including the Uganda Kobs all of which can easily be seen on the Wildlife Safari Tours here.
There are various primates living within its verdant forests like Budongo among are over 610 chimpanzees, in addition to 451 bird species including 23 Albertine Rift Endemics.
Kibale Forest National Park
This is a national park in western Uganda, protecting moist evergreen rain forest. It is 766 square kilometers (296 sq mi.) in size and located between 1,100 meters (3,600 ft) to 1,600 meters (5,200 ft) in elevation.
Despite encompassing primary moist ever green forest, it contains a diverse array of landscapes to contain both lowland and montane forests. In eastern Africa, it sustains the last significant expanse of premontane forest.
The park was gazetted in 1932 and formally established in 1993 to protect a large area of forest previously managed as a logged forest reserve. The park forms a continuous forest with Queen Elizabeth National Park. This adjoining of the parks creates a 180 kilometers (110 mi) wildlife corridor.
